Nepal Beats Friends Of Japan 1-0 In A Charity Match

Kathmandu : Nepali football team has defeated Japan in an exciting charity match, marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between Nepal and Japan, at ANFA complex, Satdobato on Saturday afternoon. Nepal international striker, Nawayug Shrestha has scored an opening goal for Nepal in 57th minute.
The visiting team will be led by former Japan international Toda Kazuyuki who represented the country during the 2002 World Cup. Besides Kazuyuki, the team will be studded with current and former players of J-League, the premier division football league of Japan, as well as other players based in foreign countries.
The event was jointly organised by Colorbath, a Japanese NGO, and the All Nepal Football Association.
Japan Friends Squad : Kazuyuki Toda, Masahiro Fukasawa, Yohsuke Nozawa, Atsushi Shirota, Ryoh Kurihara, Tatsuro Inui, Kazuo Homma, Shori Murata, Itsuki Yamada, Hiroki Ohkawara, Masato Mochizuki, Yohei Iwasaki, Takeo Ogawa, Ryotaro Nakano, Yudai Imura, Yosuke Saito.
