Nepal to face Aussies in opener

Kathmandu : Nepali blind cricket team will face Australia in the opener of the T20 World Cup Cricket Tournament for Blind slated for January 20 to February 12 at different nine venues in India.The second edition of the tournament will feature ten nations including Nepal, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
India’s Cricket Association for the blind is set to host the tournament next year, CABI announced recently. It has also signed Rahul Dravid as the brand ambassador for the tournament that will begin on January 31 in New Delhi.
A total of 10 teams including hosts India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa and West Indies are taking part in the tournament to be played in round robin format. Nepal are the only non-Test playing nations to participate in the tournament.
Cricket Association of Blind Nepal is holding a four-day selection tournament at the Pulchowk Engineering College from December 7, while the closed-camp begins from January 4-23 in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur.
