Bangladesh Beat Nepal by 83 runs

Nepal : Nepal national cricket team suffered consecutive defeat in the ACC Emerging Teams Cup 2017 as Bangladesh U-23 team defeated Nepal by 83 runs at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Academy Ground in Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh on Today.Chasing 258 for victory, Nepal were bundled out for 174 in 42.3 overs in the end. Nepal lost early wickets and were on the back foot. The fourth wicket stand of 98 in 135 balls between Dipendra Singh Airee and Dilip Nath kept the tourists in sight of their target. However, once the partnership was broken, Nepal lost wickets in regular intervals and were out of the contest.
Dilip Nath and Dipendra Singh Airee put up a good show in batting as Nath scored 41 runs off 62 balls and Airee garnered 56 runs off 85 balls.Binod Bhandari hit 33 runs off 23 balls while Aasif Sheikh (12 runs), Mehabboob Alam (10 runs) were other contributors to the Nepali team. Rahatul Ferdous claimed four wickets while Mohammad Saifuddin claimed three and Abul Hasan picked two wickets.
Earlier, Nepal won the toss and chose to field first. a brilliant unbeaten hundred from Nasir Hossain enabled Bangladesh to post 257 for 9 in 50 overs. Mominul Haque and Nasir Hussein for 78 runs made control over the game. Bangladeshi skipper Mominul Haque also contributed 61 runs off 78 balls before being caught by Gyanendra Malla off Sandeep Lamichhane’s delivery and Abul Hasan Raju put up 29 runs off 30 deliveries for the home team to post a decent total against Nepal.
