Kathmandu : Nepal will take on Bangladesh Under 23 team in their Second match of the ACC Emerging Teams Cup at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Nepal faced a six-wicket defeat against Pakistan U-23 in its opening match.

Bangladesh began their Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2017 campaign with a comfortable 8 wickets victory over Hong Kong in the opening match. Test batsman Mominul Haque lead Bangladesh team while allrounder Nasir Hossin made his deputy. nother player also in the team who have had played in Sri Lanka test recently is Mehedi Hasan Miraz. Each team is allowed to play four players more than 23 years old also whom were played for national team.The rest of the 23rd years old players are Abul Hossain Raju and Wicket keeping cum Batsman Mohammad Mithun.

Nepali cricket team playing in the absence of veterans including regular skipper Paras Khadka, Shakti Gauchan, Basnata Regmi and emerging Sompal Kami crumbled in the batting department. Paras is recuperating after his appendicitis surgery while the other three were given rest with the view to give exposure to new player.

Group A comprises of the U-23 teams from Test-playing nations, India and Sri Lanka as well as national teams from Afghanistan and Malaysia. All the matches of Group A will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Stadium in Chittagong.
