Everything you need to know about Asian Premier League Twenty20
Kathmandu : The Ultimate Sports Management is organising the Asian Premier League at the TU Ground from June 19 to July 4. The tournament will consist of 6 franchise team consisting of international players from all over Asia. The tournament will be broadcasted internationally via Sony Six channel. The tournament was originally scheduled to take place in the UAE.
A total of six franchise-based teams, including Nepal Storms, will participate in the tournament but the Nepali players are totally unaware of the event. Former Sri Lanka skipper Tillakratne Dilshan will lead the Indian Stars, while Ajay Ratra of India is the mentor of the team, informed the India-based company during the launching programme of the event. The six teams will play against each other in the round robin league before the top four making it to the semi-finals. The event carries a total cash purse of Rs 6.4 million with top three teams earning Rs four million, Rs 1.6m and Rs 800,000 respectively. The player of the series will receive a car.

1. Who's playing and who's not, it's just the matter of 20 odd hours. Watch the APL Auction at 4 PM on Sony Six today. Once the auction is concluded, you will know whether your favorite player is playing or not (We hope that no one misses out but it's all up to the owners)
2. Some people were demanding the list of players to be auctioned. Unfortunately we are not allowed to disclose the list before auction so be patient ( Trust us,we too are excited just like you)
3. Some people asked "Can a player from Nepal play for Sri Lanka? And why so?" The answer is 'YES'. Since it's a club based competition and not a country based one, It's possible that a player from Nepal or any other country can feature for a different team.
4. How many Nepali players are there? Well as mentioned in the point 2, We are not allowed to reveal the list and Nepal Players are the part of the list as well.
