Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi create history | IPL Auctions 2017

Kathmandu : Afghani All rounder Mohammad Nabi became the first Afghanistan player in the Indian Premier League when he was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for a base price of Rs. 30 lakh in the IPL Auction at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile,18 years old Rashid Khan becomes the second one to get sold. Sunrisers Hyderabad also gunned for Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan and shelled out Rs 4 crore for him. The teenage sensation has batting average of 31.50 in T20 internationals at a strike rate of 157.50 while he has picked up 31 wickets at an economy rate of just 6.14 with his leg breaks.
Afghanistan captain Asghar Stanikzai, however, joined the likes of India's Ishant Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Pragyan Ozha, South African Imran Tahir, West Indians Darren Bravo and Marlon Samuels, to remain unsold.
Rising Pune Supergiants snatched England all-rounder Ben Stokes for a staggering 14.5 crore while his fellow English teammate Tymal Mills was bagged by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 12 crore. Ben Stokes become a second highest bid price in the history of the auctions.
The IPL matches are scheduled to begin on 3rd April and will continue until 21st May of the year until the winner of the league is ascertained.
