Bangladeshi skipper Sohel Rana said that the match against Nepal is very important for his team and win against host team will raise the visiting team's confidence for upcoming qualifiers. “We have very tough opponents in the qualifiers so win against Nepal will boost our confidence. We have 5-6 national players in this side so hopefully we can play good football,” said Rana.
Meanwhile, Nepal's under-23 team skipper Bimal Gharti Magar said their target is to win this fixture as well. “Bangladesh are in same standard as we are. We have ten national players in the team. We have prepared well and we are playing for a long time together. We are expecting a good result.” Bimal Gharti Magar, who is the most experienced player in the squad, has been named the captain. His creativity, eye for the goal and his match experiences has made him eligible for the armband.
