kathmandu | Ahead of the England's versus Pakistan test series which starts on 14th July, former England cricket captain Nasser Hussain has successfully attempted to set a record for the Highest catch of a cricket ball.
The challenge was set up by Sky Sports in the presence of an official from the Guinness World Records. The 48-year-old had to catch a ball from at least 100 feet in three legal attempts.
Hussain set the record when he caught the ball, dropped from a drone, from a height of 49 meters (160 feet and 9.1 inches).
Consequently, the right-hander caught the red ball from 49 meters (160 feet and 9.1 inches) amidst windy conditions to carve out a place for himself in the iconic Guinness World Records. However, he could not get anywhere near the final one that was dropped at a whopping 400 feet.
Hussain – who captained the England cricket team between 1999 and 2003 – spoke at the event: “Sky Sports are always looking to push the limits and be innovative in their approach to coverage, and this was certainly a very different experience for me.”
