Kathmandu : With a new captain Rising Pune Supergiant host Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2017 contest in Pune on Today. Pune decided to replace Mahendra Singh Dhoni with Steve Smith in the leadership role. The biggest challenge will be for Steve Smith: he replaces Dhoni, one of the most successful captains of the IPL.
Two-time champions Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, failed to reach the playoffs last year for the first time since 2009, and will look to put that disappointment behind when they take on their neighbours on 6 April.
Pune have been plagued by some injuries in the tournament. Mitchell Marsh and R Ashwin will no longer be part of this year's IPL while Mumbai Indians have a new coach in the form of Mahela Jayawardene replacing Ricky Ponting.
