Meet Heaviest player Ever Rahkeem Cornwall
Kathmandu : Rahkeem Cornwall is a massive 24 year old cricketer from the West Indies. Cornwall pumped England around the ground in a 50-over warm-up game against West Indies Cricket Board President's XI on Monday.
While playing for West Indies Cricket Board President's XI against England in the practice match, Cornwall scored a 61-ball 59 that included six fours and three sixes. He steered the side struggling at 55/5 in 17 overs to reach a decent total of 233 in 50 overs. He also impressed with his bowling effort (39/1 in 10 overs).
Cornwall was then picked for West Indies A’s tour to Sri Lanka and he took 23 wickets, a series high. He averaged only 20 in that series. He has been backed for big things by West Indies fast-bowling icon Sir Andy Roberts, who said “He has been ready to move higher for more than a year now, but for me to say he is ready for Test cricket.
Rahkeem Rashawn Shane Cornwall was born on February 1, 1993, in Antigua, part of Leeward Islands. Rahkeem made his debut for the Leeward Islands at an early age of 18, against Trinidad & Tobago, back in 2011. Cornwall has just one first-class century in 25 games but he is improving. At the half-way stage - five matches - of this first-class season he averages over 37 from number seven in the order. And in the recent Super 50, List A competition, he played nine games, scored 252 runs, averaged a commendable 50.40 and has a strike rate of 117.75.
