ICC agreed to Nepal Government proposal
Kathmandu : The legislature and the International Cricket Council (ICC) today consented to shape a standardization advisory group to represent Nepal cricket exercises.
The ICC three-part designation, drove by CEO David Richardson, met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" at his office in Baluwatar today to talk about a proposition exhibited by Nepal's National Sports Council to frame a cricket board in Nepal. Likewise present amid the meet were NSC Member Secretary Keshav Bista, Sports Minister Daljeet Shripaili and previous CAN CEO Bhawana Ghimire.
ICC agreed to constitute Cricket Development Board to regulate Nepali cricket after a team led by ICC Chief Executive David Richardson met PM Dahal, according to Minister for Youth and Sports, Daljit Shripali. He added that an advisory committee comprising of five to seven members will be formed soon for that.
According to sources the ICC is likely to form an advisory committee with 5-7 members today itself. The members will represent different groups of the cricket community in Nepal, it is learnt. Currently, there is no cricket governing body in the country after the ICC suspended Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in April.
ICC had suspended the enrollment of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) refering to government's obstruction in April.
