Nepal to play Pakistan in Emerging Teams Cup
Kathmandu : Nepal is all set to play Pakistan in the Emerging Teams Cup which is scheduled to take place in Bangladesh. It would be an ODI tournament authorized by the Asian Cricket Committee and would be held between March 15 to 26.
Asian Test nations like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh will send their A sides with three players mandatory from the senior side. The associate nations like Nepal, Afghanistan and Hong Kong will play their first teams.
Last time around in 2013, the tournament was held in Singapore and India emerged the winners in a one-sided final against Pakistan. Emerging Cup Cricket is a tournament with 50 over per side. It is based on the Round-robin and knock out format of the game. So each team will play matches with rest of the teams and it will continue till the knock out stage of the game.
Group A : India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Afghanistan
Group B : Nepal, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, pakistan
