Nepal to face Pakistan in their first match

Kathmandu : Nepal will go up against Pakistan in the opening match of the Women's Asia Cup 2016 at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok on November 26, while Bangladesh confront India in the primary match of the day.

The Asia Cup is challenged by four Test playing countries India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Thailand are contending as the hosts, while Nepal made it to the competition taking after their runner-up complete in the as of late finished up ICC Women's World Cup Qualifying Series for Asia Region.

Following a rest day, Nepal meet another Test country Sri Lanka before meeting Bangladesh on November 29. The Nepali ladies' group will go up against Thailand on December 1 preceding confronting India the following day. The last of the competition is slated for December 4. All the matches will be played at the Terdthai Cricket Ground.


Prior to the Qualifying Series, Nepali ladies had not played any global amusement for a long time. An in front of the rest of the competition complete in the Qualifying Series would have given Nepal a spot in the 2017 Global Qualifiers for the World Twenty20. Thailand had met all requirements for the Global Qualifiers winning the Qualifying Series in Hong Kong. Nepal had lost to Thailand twice and Hong Kong in the Qualifying Series in Hong Kong. The last of the competition which will be hung on December 4 will be played at Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok.
